Playtime

I finished all my work today and got to leave an hour early. That was nice. So I hurried home and ended up watching "Dr. Phil." The family on today's episode (a rerun, I think) was so messed up. I am surprised the couple is still together.

One thing I couldn't figure out, though: at the end of the show, Dr. Phil told them he was giving them an all-expense-paid five-day trip to the Carribbean. Now, that's all fine and dandy, but why not use that money to help pay their overdue bills, which were causing even more marital tension? I would like to go on a trip like that, but I'd rather have the money to pay bills.

It was definitely nice to get home an hour earlier than I usually do, and just veg out in front of the tv. DH was showering and DD was napping, so I had plenty of time to veg. I even spent some time writing in my paper journal.

Having an extra free hour at home was especially nice since I woke up in a foul mood today. The starlings were arguing with each other at 4 a.m. Stupid birds. I think I woke up every hour after that. Ugh. Stupid birds. The weather turned humid today, so I turned the a/c back on. I am not about to try to sleep without the a/c on tonight. Too hot.

Time to take some miracle drug. My shoulder hurts.

Did I mention that since I started devoting more time to writing, my tension seems to have dissipated? I guess that's what happens when I find a new obsession.

I watched that last season and I'm dying for the new season to start to see if they have improved any. They were unbelievably messed up. ACK Hope your shoulder feels better.
